SMALL AND SUPER SWEET

Often when we consider publishing, our minds turn to large, established houses but independent publishers can be a brilliant way forward. My first book Hodge The Hedgehog, illustrated by Benji Davies, was published by indie Meadowside Children’s Books in 2009. It kickstarted my career and I’m forever grateful for the wonderful experience.

Frances Tosdevin: The Bear and her Book – UCLan Publishing

‘The Bear and her Book is a lyrical, rhyming picture book, illustrated by Sophia O’Connor. It’s about a book-loving bear who travels the world, meeting different creatures in need of help. But thanks to her Bear’s Big Book of Being Wise, she can always fix their problems. And eventually, she finds the perfect place to end her journey.
