Bump buddies

As the stage lights flicked on and music blasted, the crowded arena erupted into screams.

Me and my bestie, Hayley, were both nearly 30.

But as we watched our favourite boy band, Five, in August 2016, we felt like teenagers again.

It wasn’t everyone’s cup of tea but we both loved our cheesy music.

We’d met in December 2015, when we’d worked at the same nursery.

Bonded over pina coladas on nights out.

Gossiped over bottomless Prosecco, afternoon teas.

But just lately, it hadn’t all been fun and laughter.
