ALL THE SIGNS
Sitting down on the sofa in my living room, I let out a huff.
‘Natalie,’ my then partner Liam, 27, said sheepishly. ‘You’ve been quite hormonal recently; do you think we should get you a pregnancy test?’
‘I can’t get pregnant when I’m on the pill,’ I frowned.
Little did I know, he knew my pregnancy symptoms better than I did – we’d had two kids already, Darcie, four and Harley, two.
Somehow, I was seven weeks pregnant while taking the contraceptive pill.
I felt uneasy about everything, especially as it was so strange that I’d become pregnant in the first place.
‘I just have this weird feeling,’ I told Liam.
Sure enough, after the 12-week scan, we got a call saying the Down’s syndrome test came back high and I’d need to go for more checks.
