SICK TO DEATH

Cradling my baby girl in my arms, relief washed over me.

It was 16 February 2016 when I had my firstborn, Lihanna-Marie, in University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire, weighing 7lb 4oz.

I felt extremely conflicted about the past nine months.

It was horrifically tough being so ill, but it was beautiful carrying a child for me and my fiancé Haydn, 27.

Every day, from five-weeks pregnant to 17-weeks I had severe sickness.

I couldn’t hold down even a small mouthful of food.

I never expected morning sickness to be this tough, I’d think to myself.

But I grit and bear with it which all felt worthwhile when I stared into the big, sparkling eyes
