For many years the 1970s were thought of as ‘The decade that fashion forgot’ but Daniel Gier’s Sprint shows that’s far from being the case.
Whether it’s digging out photos of the great rallies, remembering venues that have now closed or reminiscing about scooters we once owned, nostalgia is an ever-present trend among scooterists. When it comes to building ‘retro’ scooters it’s difficult to strike an appropriate balance. Should it be built using only old technology or incorporate all that’s best from modern suppliers? Perhaps a balance of the two is more appropriate? Perhaps the best way is to stick to a certain period and let’s face it, given the history of scootering
