This retro-look toaster performed exceptionally well in our tests in terms of speed, quality, consistency, and ease of use. It took less than two-and-a-half minutes to toast most of the bread slices in our tests, and it had near-perfect scores for batch toasting. Multigrain bread showed good browning and crisp edges. The English muffin was crunchy all around, although a little dark. Single-slice toasting gave better results on a lower setting, and the defrost function worked well.
