FROM ONE DAVE TO ANOTHER

I think it is great that you have taken an open mind as to what is prog. The only problem is that by casting such a wide net, as it were, you seem to be neglecting some genuinely important prog artists.

One musician, in particular, who is surely deserving of a full article is Dave Stewart. I first heard him in the early 80s when alongside Barbara Gaskin he had a huge hit with their version of . I quickly worked out he was not that guy from the Eurythmics and eagerly tracked down all the other recordings he was doing has serious progressive credentials. From there I investigated everything I could find that he was involved with going all the way back to the late 60s, and what an absolute musical treasure trove I found: Egg, Hatfield And The North, National Health, Bruford and of course his collaborations with Steve Hillage. He truly is a fantastic keyboard player and brilliant arranger, so how about a full article featuring him or at least some of the many groups he has been involved with?
