Pigeons make partridges a doddle

Intercepting birds on a flightline between two safe havens is sometimes the only way of approaching them. But when trying to intercept birds moving from 400 acres of parkland into 200 acres of livestock, you have to play the percentage game. All pest control must be conducted under the terms of the general licence — we must be clear that what we are doing is legal and necessary and not simply accept this as received wisdom. This is especially true when not shooting over a particular crop.
