We are two months into the partridge season and the good news is there are another three to go. For those lucky enough to start their season at the beginning of September, early partridges mean warm days and just a shirt and light waistcoat but by the last knockings on 1 February we can’t seem to wear enough clothes.
Many shoots with plenty of fields and hedgerows can start their season a month earlier than those shooting pheasants alone; and why wouldn’t you? You can also extend your season into February and March by shooting in Spain.
