Slowly but surely after the great COVID-19 lockdowns, Australia has begun to open up again for tourism in all states. Even our near neighbour, New Zealand, has opened its borders and it's a fair bet that there will be plenty of traffic both ways. That of course does not mean that life, as we used to know it, is returning to anything like normal. Currently there are any number of places on the east coast of Australia suffering from flooding, some for a second time.
