Red spider mite

Watch for the tell-tale signs of this pest: fne mottling and pale webbing on the leaves. On the undersides of the leaves you can spot the tiny mites feeding on the sap. They don’t like moisture, so spray or wash leaves with water. Benefcial predators can also help reduce the population. See Growing Greener on p86.
