Don’t get me wrong, I love my male friends. We drink, gossip, offer each other support. We’ve been there for each other through many years and I wouldn’t swap them for the world. It’s different, though, somehow, to the friendships I have with women, with the girls I’ve known since I was a girl, through to now, when I’m nearly 50.
