OTHER than angels (of which, may flights sing thee to thy rest), an unusual variety of winged creatures and flying objects or allusions seem to be making their way into this week’s column. In fact, there was an angel among the ceramics at Woolley & Wallis of Salisbury on March 16, a Poole Pottery roundel in the manner of della Robbia designed by Harold and Phoebe Stabler, but it was bought in, and I was much more attracted to a Stabler-designed bird that came up.
