Husband likes to cook. He likes to tell everybody he’s cooking and tell everybody he cooked, starting his sentences post-event with “When I cooked dinner on Tuesday night …” I swear he pauses the conversation here, leaving sufficient space for platitudes and applause. I bet he’s miffed he hasn’t been nominated for Australian Of The Year.
