Euro faves warm up for the summer

With Euro 2022 fast approaching there was encouragement for England, France, Sweden and Belgium, each of whom won one of the tournaments that have long marked the start of the international year in women’s football.

England, who will stage the finals, achieved the most notable victory, heading a quartet that included Spain, Germany and Canada in a home-hosted competition.

France, however, had the most impressive results, beating Brazil, Netherlands and Finland in the second Tournoi de France.
