MARVELLOUS MATILDA!

I bought my tractor – a 1955 Ferguson TE-D 20 – at the end of May, in 2020. It was advertised on eBay and I’d been looking for a TVO-fuelled model; it’s the smell that adds something special for me, really enhancing the authenticity of true, vintage machinery.

The previous owner’s father bought it in 1975, from a farmer in Borough bridge, near York. The tractor was bought for Heming brough Cricket Club, and had been used to cut the grass for the 45 years between 1975 and 2020, when it was finally replaced by a more modern, diesel-powered machine.
