MASSEY FERGUSON 3000 SERIES

In 1986, and then in 1987, Massey Ferguson introduced two all-new ranges of tractors that took electronic integration and control to a completely new level, making the 3000 and 3600 Series tractors the most sophisticated machines ever to be put into production.

By 1990, less than four years after the initial introduction of this family of tractors, Massey Ferguson began broadening the breadth of the range with new model introductions that widened the appeal of this landmark tractor range. After some initial customer resistance to the new technology, farmers began to see what huge benefits – in terms of efficiency – the concept of the 3000 Series family could offer and, with this, the beginning of a golden age, sales-wise, of this range began.

New arrival

The very first new introduction was actually at the lower end of the 3000 Series line-up, when the MF3065 joined the range. This was designed to fill a gap between the 3060 and 3070 models, and was followed by the range-topping 3680, offering more power beyond the then flagship 3650’s 150 horses.
