HETTI PERKINS: “It’s wonderful to be here talking with you, SJ, and – the world. I had heard about your work before I actually met you. You were living and working overseas so much that there hadn’t been a chance for our paths to cross. When I turned 50, [artist] Christian Thompson said: ‘Oh, can I bring SJ along?’ And I was like, ‘Absolutely!’ It was my best birthday present ever.”
