PART TWO LUCE BAY
■ EAST TARBET
Last month we covered Sandhead Bay towards the Mull of Galloway. Next on our southbound journey is East Tarbet, which is a small shingle bay towards the south-west end of Luce Bay. East Tarbet itself is a popular area for camping. There are no facilities, such as toilets, in East Tarbet, so visitors should keep this in mind. Launching boats is possible however there can be a fairly large shingle bank which is normally flattened by the Farmer. A good 4x4 is essential for launching here.
■ THE MULL
