THE SPICE OF LIFE
We are no strangers to folk with multi-Mini garages, as we know that one Mini is never enough, but Paul Gregory is currently the lucky custodian of 12 Minis. Mini collectors often build a collection upon a theme such as motorsport Minis, early Minis or Rover Minis but Paul has a real mixture in his garage. It ranges from coachbuilt to commercial through to Rover Minis. He truly is a lover of all Minis (he even collects New Minis) although he admits he’s not a fan of original Clubman-fronted Minis. We asked how his love for Minis began.
“Mum and dad used to have Minis years ago. Dad used to have a white Clubman Estate. It was my dad really who got me into them as he had always had them. He was taller than me but would always drive them.” One particular Mini memory has stayed with him. “We went to my nan’s, about three miles away, one Christmas day and it was snowing. We came up to » the top of this hill and the car beached on the snow.
