Something gently communal happened in this project, located at the Collingwood Yards arts precinct. At the courtyard heart of the former school campus, you will find the now-permanent home of Hope Street Radio, a station that has become a fixture of Melbourne’s food-slash-music scene through its periodic residencies in restaurants, cafes, rooftops, bars and even zoos. Now, Hope Street Radio has come to lay down roots, combining its broadcast activities, as it always has, with the rituals of hospitality and good food, art and design.
