Add vertical dividing lines between columns
If you use column layouts in your documents, you should consider inserting vertical lines between each column to make sure they are clearly separated.
To do this in Word, place your cursor within a column then open the Layout tab, click the Columns dropdown menu and select More Columns. In in our screenshot), followed by OK. You can change the gap between the line and the columns , and see how this looks in the Preview box .
