‘The role provides a rewarding mix of indoor and outdoor work in really scenic environments’

After 23 years as enthusiastic members of Europe’s largest touring club, we thought that it was high time for us to go a step further and apply to join their team of Assistant Site Managers.

So before long, we found ourselves on the other side of the desk, working for the Caravan and Motorhome Club on the edge of the 500-acre nature wonderland that is Pembrey Country Park in South Wales, just one of many gorgeous scenic locations in the Club’s UK network.

Now, you might wonder what enticed us into this outdoor lifestyle, involving every hands-on task from toilet scrubbing and bin emptying to grass cutting and drain cleaning. Well, I can honestly say that we not only love getting our hands dirty, we also absolutely thrive on anything related to our number one love – campsite life!

Besides, the job brings the opportunity to meet a wide variety of people with the same interests and help others along the way, and the chance to learn new skills.
