TOURING CORNWALL'S TREASURES
‘Plan your route carefully when you visit Cornwall and you should have no problems towing on the country lanes’
After spending the past few years touring Austria, Croatia and Italy for our holidays, we decided this time to try somewhere a little nearer home. There were a few reasons we chose not to venture across the water this trip.
A weak pound and a new puppy were deciding factors for us. I know seasoned travellers will be saying how easy it is to take your dog across to Continental Europe (and I don’t disagree with you), but work commitments also meant that it was easier for us to take a two-week break, rather than our normal three.
Cornwall beckoned, so we decided to spend one week at the Caravan and Motorhome Club’s Godrevy Park site, and the second at C&MC Merrose Farm.
We like to take our summer break before the school holidays begin, in the first two weeks of July when sites are generally a little quieter. We have nothing against little people – we have our own – but we prefer to have some ‘chill time’ on our own, to recharge our batteries and enjoy the peace and quiet.
