MILK TART MILLE FEUILLE
These bite-size tarts are deliciously crispy and easy to make. We flavour the pastry with cinnamon and the custard with orange zest.
SERVES 4-6
PREPARATION: 20 MIN
CHILLING: 30 MIN
COOKING: 30 MIN
CUSTARD MIXTURE
250ml (1c) milk
60ml (¼c) custard powder
60ml (¼c) sugar
a pinch of salt
15ml (1T) vanilla essence
PHYLLO STACK
60ml (¼c) light brown sugar
5ml (1t) ground cinnamon
1ml (¼t) mixed spice
250g phyllo pastry
100g butter, melted
TO FINISH
250ml (1c) cream, whipped
grated zest of 1 orange
Preheat the oven to 200°C. Line a large baking sheet with nonstick spray. Keep a piping bag handy.
