I don’t normally read my husband’s magazines but I do browse the photos and I was stopped dead in my tracks when I came across Alan Cathcart’s article, Klone With a K (January/February 2022). I recognized the iconic lines of the Kawasaki W650 instantly.

About 11 years ago I decided I wanted something with a little more oomph than my Vespa 150. I have always been enamored with Triumph Bonnevilles, so when my sister sent me a link to a 2000 Kawasaki W650 I was pretty excited. I showed it to my husband and he said he wasn’t really interested. My response was, “Honey, it’s not for you, it’s for me!” That was the beginning of my love affair with Kawasaki W650s. The bike is everything Cathcart says and more. It’s a real eye catcher. My bike is the modern overhead cam shaft twin mentioned in the article.

I am 5 feet 4 inches tall and 113 pounds soaking wet and I love the bike. It
