Bonobo: Fragments

imon Green, the man behind Bonobo, fled into the wilderness for his new album. That apparently inspired him as much as numerous collaborations, including with Jamila Woods, Joji, Kadhja Bonet, Jordan Rakei, O‘Flynn or Miguel Atwood-Ferguson. The title of the disc, on the other hand, is inspired by the fact that the songs are based on fragments put together. The British dance producer is moving between downtempo, smooth house, pop hooklines, rave reminiscences and ballads these days. Most of the album is danceable, groovy, and pleasing enough to appeal to a large audience.
