he guys from London are considered one of the most visionary bands of the present and have covered many genres from electronica to trip-hop, hip-hop, progressive to post-rock. As part of the celebrations of their 25th anniversary, Archive are now presenting an album on which they kind of cover themselves. And that means radical changes. Often there are different singers than in the original songs, but after all Archive are known for the use of different voices. The arrangements were extremely reduced. The focus is mostly on piano, voice and ambient electronics. Correspondingly, „Versions “is, except for a few outbreaks, of a rather quiet nature.
