ven though the UC-1 is basically „just“ a USB controller, the device feels like a real mix console. The feel and look are excellent; and with dimensions of 296 x 62.7 x 266 mm, there is plenty of space between the controls. The sturdy brushed-metal-look chassis has a classic mixer layout and stands a tidy 2.5 kg high sturdily on the desktop. Fold-out supports allow for a user-friendly angled setup. Besides very long LED chains for level indication, there is even a VU meter with needle to display real-time reduction by the compressor. But the advantages of digital mixing consoles have also been implemented: The knobs are encoders whose position is automatically adjusted to the current EQ and compressor settings after loading a project
