Computer Music

welcome

“So we did it! It only took 20-odd years…”

This issue’s cover feature has been decades in the making or (if I’m to be slightly Plugin Suite. You will certainly learn a thing or two about music production, but best of all you can do it safe in the knowledge that you have all the tools — no cash required! It’s been a tough feature to get up and running simply because the Plugin Suite has taken years to assemble to include everything you need. (And of course Apple’s recent OS updates have meant that we’ve had to lose some of our plugins along the way – more on that over coming months). But now the Suite is up to speed, we can start to roll the features out, starting in this very issue. In fact there are so many processes to discuss that we’ve had to spread them over two issues, so you get six main subjects this month, including 18 workshops and videos, and two further subjects next issue, with six more workshops and videos. Phew! If you’ve never made music before, there is loads on offer here, but I’ll wager that even if you are an experienced producer, there are plenty of new ideas to learn from, and certainly new tools on show that you might not have used. So we did it. It only took 20-odd years. Hope you enjoy it!
