HE North East British Bird Mule & Hybrid Club show was destined to be memorable whatever the results. The reason was a certain storm that went by the name of Arwen! I had entered a team of 10: five Norwich and five British. Normally, I take the birds down on the Friday evening of the NEBBM&HC show and, during the course of getting show cages and birds ready earlier that day, there was little sign of the impending storm. Certainly, nothing suggested the severity that the forecast had projected.
