CRISPY CHICKEN STRIPS AND KFC-STYLE GRAVY

1 tsp dried basil
1 tsp dried thyme
1 tbsp smoked paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
¼ tsp mustard powder
½ tsp ground ginger
50g plain white flour
sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
2 eggs, beaten
60g panko breadcrumbs
2 chicken breasts, cut into 1.5cm strips
light oil
