AL’S #1 ITALIAN BEEF ON TAYLOR

No Italian beef in town tastes like Al’s #1 on Taylor Street. The meat itself is cut thin, so your teeth chomp into the sandwich with almost no resistance. Each bite hits with an unduly meaty base before the heat of the giardiniera and the intricate mix of spices take flight. Al’s #1 is a chain, but we’ve never been happy with the beef we’ve gotten from any location but the original on Taylor Street.
