When I boarded the small boat with Jonny, I was amazed by the clarity and relative lack of depth of the majority of this Norwegian fjord, especially compared with the previous shallow water fishing I had done in Bergen. This makes landing a fish quicker and with far more care than winching it up from deep water and the angler and fish enduring endless powerful lunges back to the bottom during a seemingly never-ending fight.
