all in the cavalry! At least that’s what John H. Fiebing, founder of Fiebing’s, first did in 1895, when he set out to create a business built on saddle soap. As his soap gained in popularity, the U.S. Cavalry at Fort Riley, Kansas, took note and started using it exclusively to clean and preserve its saddles, tack and other leather equipment.
