Happy New Year to one and all! I hope you guys had a great Christmas and New Year. I love the festive period. At home I do the cooking on Christmas Day – it’s an informal feasting affair and my family and I always enjoy a walk on the beach with our dogs. There’s nothing better than the beauty of a Cornish beach with your family after a delicious lunch together.

The start of a year can be a strange time once the hullabaloo of Christmas is over, but it’s important to look forward and think about what is ahead. For me, my family and my team at work, we have some really exciting things to look forward to – some great ideas in the pipeline, including some lovely small events in Cornwall throughout the year, so do stay tuned in to these.

In the kitchen it’s also a time to look forward, rather than backwards. You have all of these delicious root vegetables
