At the age of 76, long time Capri fan Stuart Turp thought he was ready to take a break from the show scene. He’d just sold his well-known concourse Mk1 Capri GTXLR which had racked up more than 400 trophies, but as soon as he clapped eyes on this Mk3 Capri 2.0S in an admittedly sorry state, he couldn’t resist making a swift comeback.

“I’ve always had a strong passion for all Capris, and it stems right back to the original and now famous television advert,” Stuart recalls. “I’ve owned 11 examples in total, Mk1s, Mk2s and Mk3s and I’ve loved driving all of them.” The first of that impressive succession of Capris to arrive was a 1972 1300L in Fern Green, but it was his 1969 Mk1 GTXLR in more recent times that
