Isn’t it amazing that we all seem to remember our childhood summers as being warm, sunny and full of fun and colour? Even the photographs in the old family album don’t seem to be quite as bright as our memories. [That's sepia for you, Andy! – Ed] I can distinctly recall the great times of being bundled into dad’s bright red Vauxhall Firenza or the golden Viva HC that followed it and heading off to another fab time in Cornwall or Tenby. I wonder if my kids will remember the trips out in the grey Xantia or the slightly less grey Mk6 Escort we had? I’d put money on the fact that they’d remember the holiday, but not how we got there.
