When Discovery then TVNZ unveiled their 2022 offerings recently, they did so from strikingly different positions. TVNZ has been in a dominant position in the local market: on the one hand, TVNZ 1 is the only broadcast-TV channel to stand above the tide of online content and OnDemand is the biggest local streaming service, reaching a million viewers a week.
