PIES, COBBLERS & CRISPS

Mixed Berry Cobbler

Makes 8 to 10 servings

½ cup unsalted butter, melted
2 cups sliced fresh strawberries
¼ cup warm strawberry jam
2 cups all-purpose flour
1½ cups sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon kosher salt
¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
1⅓ cups whole milk
2 cups fresh blueberries
2 cups fresh blackberries
2 teaspoons lemon zest
Vanilla ice cream, to serve

1. Preheat oven to 350°.

2. In a 13x9-inch baking dish, place melted butter.

3. In a small bowl, stir together strawberries and warm jam. Let stand until set, about 10 minutes; drain well.

4. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Whisk in milk until smooth. Pour batter onto melted butter in pan. (Do not stir together.) Top with all berries; sprinkle with lemon zest.

Bake until golden brown, 50 to 55 minutes. Let cool for 30 minutes. Serve
