THE GAME OF LIFE

As an 8-year-old boy in 1968, I loved the Game of Life. I loved the opportunity to think about what it must be like to make adult decisions. I loved the lust for money and the $100,000 bills. I loved the agency of choosing my own career. I loved the three-dimensionality of the board with its bridges, buildings, and hills. The sound of the spinner was very satisfying. I even loved the gendersignifying pink and blue passenger pegs in the cool cars.
