JUMP INTO SKI PHOTOGRAPHY
Creating great ski imagery can be a challenge. The conditions have to align, the athlete has to perform perfectly and we as photographers have to make dozens of decisions each time we compose a shot. The amount of effort that goes into crafting compelling images that capture the adventure of skiing can seem overwhelming, but that’s what makes it so rewarding when everything comes together.
I’ve been skiing for over 20 years, which has allowed me ample time to learn the ins and outs of the sport and transition into photographing it. My ski photography has been featured in publications like Ski Journal, Freeskier, and Adventure Journal, and I’ve had the opportunity to shoot commercially for multiple ski brands. Even after years of practice, I still feel like I’m picking up new tricks to help push my ski photography further and am always tweaking and perfecting my craft.
