Eor more than 20 years, Money magazine has presented this annual round-up of the best-value wines on the market. I suspect there’s never been a tougher year for our wine producers than the past 12 months, with the pandemic playing havoc with the vital restaurant trade. China’s trade embargo, too, has forced many to search for new markets. Despite all this, an Aussie resilience seems to have kicked in and the market for quality wines at modest prices has, perhaps, never been stronger.

Our decision to go with a $25 limit for our quaffing wines has been vindicated in terms of the greater choice it offers drinkers. Most wines, anyway,
