ALL DRESSED UP AND NOWHERE TO GO!

his being like many other fellow steamers throughout the country, with both full size and miniatures looking forward too, eagerly completing entry forms, having the engines tested, tinkering and cleaning. It’s a great time of year, full of excitement, looking forward to meeting up with steam friends, sitting by the beer tent in the balmy summer evenings listening to the fairground, steam engines running, the showman’s lights and, perhaps the fan favourite, the evocative smell of steam and hot steam oil mixed with beer and merriment, surrounded by family and friends!!
