Creating Connections

I hope this issue finds you well. It’s coming to that time in the year where we reflect on what has past and start to bed down in our homes as the cold grip of winter takes hold once more. For us quilters, it’s the perfect opportunity to embrace our craft and surround ourselves with quilts and textiles, whether we are stitching them or snuggling under them. This issue, I wanted to think about how we can embrace our beliefs and faith through stitches. Whether it be religious views, moral beliefs or perhaps a more abstract spiritual standpoint, quilts are a tactile and visual way of representing and connecting us to those beliefs, stories and narratives that are so important in our lives and our hearts.
