Q Why should you take a training break at the end of the season? How do you know that you’re ready for one?

A An obvious sign that you’re ready for a break is that you’ve finished all the races you’ve planned and there’s nothing until the new year. So it makes sense to reset before you/your coach start/s a new training plan from scratch without any interference from residual fatigue
