Lockdowns and closed borders hint at a tricky future for 4WD recreation

Unfortunately, I’m only able to write about four-wheeling from an Aucklander’s perspective of ‘lockdowns’ and closed borders. Not only has the recreational side been impacted but also the various ‘projects’ that usually preface the summer.

Of course, these restrictions are intended to ‘keep us safe’ in the face of the risks presented by Covid-19 and its variants.

I was reminded recently that this magazine is hitting 25 years of publication and hasn’t it done well! Delving back into my computer files, I note that the magazine was in 2005 and that article has a familiar ring about it, as these two paragraphs demonstrate.
