The future of beach use: education, information and enforcement

The 9 September meeting of the Auckland Council, and the decision to continue to allow vehicle use of Muriwai Beach, does put pressure on the 4WD community to follow the rules when at that beach. There was a strong case put forward by the four-wheel drive representatives at public meetings and those involved as part of the ‘steering committee’, put together by the Council rangers to help find answers to retain access.
