As the sonographer ran the cold jelly across my tummy, my wife Staci, 45, squeezed my hand.
‘Everything looks good,’ the sonographer smiled as she studied the screen.
It was November 2016, and we were at our 20-week scan.
Staci and I had been married since 2013 and we couldn’t wait to be parents.
