From her breakout role in Woody Allen’s Vicky Cristina Barcelona to blockbusters, dramas and genre films of all stripes, Rebecca Hall has done it all. Now she has decided to turn her hand to writing and directing, with her debut feature an adapation of Nella Larsen’s celebrated 1929 novel about two Black women (played by Tessa Thompson and Ruth Negga) who decide to pass as white due to their light skin.
